We installed a noise display for the Province of North Holland along the Hilversumseweg (N525) in Laren. With this measure, the Province of North Holland wants to reduce noise pollution from loud vehicles. The LED screen warns drivers when their vehicle is making too much noise.
Residents living near the N525 in Laren called on the Province to take action against noise pollution caused by excessively loud vehicles. They indicated that at times there is unacceptable noise pollution.
Our advanced noise monitoring station measures the noise level along the N525 day and night, and triggers the LED display when the measured value of a vehicle exceeds the preset noise level.This makes road users aware of their behavior and encourages them to drive more slowly, avoid unnecessary noise and not accelerate too fast.
