The municipality of The Hague is taking action against noise pollution from patrons of bars and restaurants in Herenstraat. A thorough, year-long study will begin at the end of June. This important step follows previous measures to ensure a safe and pleasant nightlife environment around the street.
Residents experience significant noise pollution from patrons of nearby bars and restaurants. To address these problems, the noise level in Herenstraat is being accurately measured.
Measurements will also be taken in Oude Molstraat and Achterom, allowing the municipality to make a proper comparison between different situations.
This will allow the municipality of The Hague not only to determine the exact extent of the noise pollution but also to take concrete steps towards effective solutions.
The results will be used to implement appropriate measures to improve the quality of life in the neighborhood.
With these objective measurements and thorough analysis, we are working towards a sustainable solution to the noise problem in this central neighborhood of The Hague.
The study is a crucial step in the pursuit of a balanced living environment where both a vibrant nightlife and tranquility and quality of life coexist harmoniously. The municipality therefore calls on all stakeholders to provide their input and work together towards a successful implementation of the findings.
